Again, always defer to the owners manual. For example, OAT coolants should not be used in a vehicle that specifies the use of a hybrid OAT coolant. The fast-acting silicate and phosphate corrosion inhibitors provide quick protection for bare iron and aluminum surfaces, and have a proven track record of providing trouble-free service in virtually any vehicle application (domestic, Asian or European), assuming the chemistry is correct. Traditional North American GREEN antifreeze, the original universal formula that everybody used until the introduction of today is extended-life coolants. There are essentially three basic types of antifreeze: The more we get into the specifics of each type of coolant, the more confusing the whole discussion becomes - so we are only going to tell you what is really worth knowing with respect to the different types of antifreeze. What is more, colors can change if somebody tops off the system with a different coolant. You cannot go by the color of the dye in the coolant because two coolants with similar colors may have different chemistry, and two coolants with different colors may have similar chemistry. For example, Ford and Chrysler specify hybrid OAT-only coolants. It is important to always use the coolant chemistry recommended in the vehicle owners manual.
These requirements are usually spelled out in the vehicle owners manual, and/or a decal or label on the coolant reservoir. We are not going to summarize the whole laundry list of OEM coolants and colors here except to say that each vehicle manufacturer has their own unique coolant specifications based on corrosion protection requirements, service life and chemical compatibility. The proliferation of different coolant types has created a great deal of chemical confusion with motorists and technicians about what type of antifreeze should be used to top off or refill late-model cooling systems. There are orange coolants, green coolants, blue coolants, red coolants, yellow coolants, even pink ones. The only thing these coolants have in common is that they all seem to differ in formulation and color.

I did not check with the dealer, as I do not think they even do a complete flush (as shown in this service manual: Toyota Sienna Service Manual: Coolant - 2Gr-fe cooling - Engine ) because they are adding the 50/50 pre-diluted coolant. Can anyone recommend an equivalent "CONCENTRATED" coolant that is described as "non-silicate AND non-amine AND non-borate". The closest I can find to the Toyota Pink is Pentosin Pentofrost A4, but it only comes pre-diluted 50/50 as well. (some are described as having no silicates, but do not mention amine or borates). The bottles just say "Asian", "pink", etc.
I cannot find any coolant that is described that way (indicating that it does not contain any of those three additives). The Toyota maintenance log describes the coolant as "non-silicate, non-amine, non-borate". After flushing there will still be quite a bit of water left in the system from two heater cores, lines, and if I decide not to drain the block (i do not want to risk breaking the two cylinder block drain cock plugs because I heard that is common once the vehicle ages). The problem is, the Super Long Life Coolant only comes pre-diluted with distilled water, 50/50 mix (not concentrate). I am now at 150,000 (next coolant maintenance interval) and would like to do a drain and flush several times with distilled water to get rid of all the Armor Global coolant and replace with the Toyota Super Long Life (Pink) coolant. It was not done at a Toyota dealer so the invoice shows that a flush with sealer and conditioner was used and Armor Global Extended Life Antifreeze was added after the flush. I have a 2011 Sienna in which the original coolant was drained/flushed at 100,000 miles per the maintenance schedule.
